The Mirror Effect
Updated: Jun 24

We've discussed 5 different kinds of HOM encounters in Reflections before.
But in today's journal post, we'll look at examples of these encounters.
Audiences responding to music.
Conversations after film screenings.
Messages after editorial photoshoots.
Models seeing themselves in a new light.
Magazine editors loving our artistic expression.
Performers discovering deep and complex characters.
The reflections below are a few moments collected along the way.
Film
Let's start with part of a Paul's Trilogy film review, from a writer and motivational speaker.
"Paul's Trilogy is a short film, beautiful and moving that tells the story of Paul, an artist who captures moments through paintings, bringing his dreams into reality and sells them off as exhibits in a gallery. The character Paul has an intriguing personality, giving off an aura of mystery. Inside the well furnished room Paul sat busy, and calm, with his phone but when the door flings open, unaided, the stern look on his face shows a distinct lack of fear. Paul checks the opened door for anything unusual, even though he's familiar with the place, Paul didn't know what to expect as he searched the room... later Paul receives Jessica, a beautiful young lady in charge of collecting art for an exhibit. Strong chemistry ensues..."
Her full review isn't included here because it contains spoilers.
So, in case you haven't gotten around to seeing it already, you can watch Paul's Trilogy... and other films in the art house film section of the Mirror Room.
A performer and colleague who watched this film also had interesting things to say about it.

Co-incidentally, I went to Paris for Christmas, a few months before the film.
However, the scenes were filmed in the winter and early spring 2022 in Toronto.
Later that year I got a job at a theatre, where I worked during the summer of that year. That's where I met the actress above. It was a busy year, also I went to New York for more work... then by the time I got back to Toronto in the fall I felt ready to edit Paul's Trilogy and release it.
We ended up having that photoshoot at my home studio in January 2023.
Editorials

Some HOM models and performers value their privacy more than they'd like to be famous.
I've noticed this happen with visitors who have a day job, or models who are still in school, the model in the screenshot above has a private Instagram account, so I won't be revealing much about her, but if you would like to see the images I'm referring to you can either buy the magazine, or subscribe to the Mirror Room so you can see editorials behind the curtain.
One of the editorials I referenced in the Reflections in Brown Eyes series has recently been published in Malvie Magazine, based in France and you can even read the webtorial here.
This is the 3rd time my art has been featured in Malvie, and my 2nd digital cover.
Thusly, the editor of this magazine had interesting things to say.

Music
I performed 3 songs from Shadows In Paradise live at a restaurant-bar then tweeted about it.
What I didn't mention in that tweet was how one of people working there, a musician with a band said my music sounded like "a high fashion score" which is spot on. Then we talked about how music can blends genres and styles to create images in the minds of audiences.
He compared my music to Prince. Cool, I love listening to his music.
I also received a compliment about my voice from an older gentleman at the venue.

You can pre-save Shadows in Paradise here.
Artist Development
Previously at HOM we've cross-examined two different kinds of artist development.
Performing arts (acting, modelling, singing, dancing)
Visionary arts (photography, directing, songwriting, fashion design)
There is another kind of artist development I provide mentorship for... the art of seduction.
Conversations can be art.
Connections are refined with creativity.
Chemistry transforms lovers into muses.
Desire attracts luxury from wealthy clients.
Performing artists who dream about playing the leading man or leading lady in a romantic film or an erotic thriller, tend to appreciate these lessons since they can radically enhance their understanding of a character's motivations, or discover new ways to express charisma in films.
One Jungian concept I've championed at HOM which meets both of these desires is archetypes. I've read his books on the subject which were written in the 20th century.
I've applied his theories to create a list of archetypal characters in 21st century.
The Good Friend
The Trad Wife
The Girl Boss
The Bad Bitch
The Deep Artist
The Rap Groupie
The Working Actress
The Smartass Student
The Respected Performer
The Social Media Vixen
The Chaste Religious Devotee
Each of these archetypal characters have values and beliefs that are unique to their social circles and work environments... part of artist development involves learning the ideals of an archetype to understand how a character who subscribes to this archetype wants to be seen.
We dive deep into the emotional architecture and psychological profile of these characters.
Because of how art mimics life and vice versa... you can find people in your everyday life who subscribe to the ideals of the archetypes listed above. Understanding an archetype you personally find interesting increases your capacity to empathize and connect with this group.
Visionary artists who explore sensuality in their work can also benefit from a deeper understanding of archetypes, when constructing stories through imagery, music or a combination of the two like in screenwriting... another fascinating visionary art.
One of the students of seduction, who joined our artist development program early on received mentorship in visionary art, performance art and the art of seduction, which elevated him to the rank of producer whereby he organized events in his hometown and wielded the kind of influence required to massage the egos of several different kinds of people.
When socializing with a variety of archetypes... it helps to know what to expect.

That said, while interesting, archetypes are a pretty advanced subject when it comes to the art of seduction. Most people would be satisfied with a Tinder date, like the boy in Disconnected.
There are simpler tools, that can be used in online dating conversations and on dates.
Imaginative Questions
Reality Pacing
Seduction Oriented Topics
These aspects refer to something I call conversation development which enables people to have the kinds of relatable, intriguing, imaginative, and seductive conversations that also help you figure out what kind of archetype the person you're talking to subscribes to and idealizes.
Personally, I don't use Tinder or other swiping apps at the moment, because I'm busy running this company so most of my encounters come randomly, as I'm going about my day, I see someone who seems like they have potential, or I'm at a fashion show, or a nightlife spot.
The rest of my encounters come from Instagram, whether it turns into a collaboration, a date, connection or employment depends on the context... but a conversationalist always charms.

At this current moment there are only 2 artist development session spots available for June.
These are usually phone calls where we discuss your goals and experiences, while I teach you how to bring your fantasies to life. This is a premium service reserved for diligent creatives.
For the visionary artists, performance artists, and curious souls hoping to learn the art of seduction, there will be a bit more availability in July. Mirror Room subscribers will be prioritized on the waitlist... other readers can fill out the form to inquire about future spots.
